Cons: Although the material is durable, it can be scratch easily and the scratches are not repairable. A brushed finish can be use to lessen the appearance of wear and tear. Stainless steel may need frequency wipe-downs with a cloth to not show fingerprints.

There are many other choices, such as various brands containing quartz, and solid surfaces, that have their own pros and cons. Some have a percentage of partially recycled materials in them also. Price often varies by contractor or supplier for the same or similar items, sometimes depending on how much of that item they order on a recurring basis. And of course, the one thing we do know, is an updated countertop in kitchen or bath will increase the chances of a sale.
